Following the successful completion of the monument's energy upgrade, ZILLION has been entrusted once again with a new restoration project at the Hagia Sophia of Thessaloniki. On 22 June 2026, ZILLION officially signed the contract for the design, fabrication and installation of the steel structures required for the ongoing restoration works at the Hagia Sophia of Thessaloniki, one of Greece's most significant Byzantine monuments and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This marks ZILLION's second project at the monument, following the successful completion of its energy upgrade. Returning to Hagia Sophia reflects the confidence placed in our engineering expertise and our ability to deliver technically demanding projects while respecting the unique character of cultural heritage sites. The scope of the project includes the design, fabrication and installation of specially engineered steel structures that will support the restoration works without compromising the monument's historical integrity. Every intervention has been carefully designed to meet the highest engineering standards while ensuring full compatibility with the restoration requirements. Working on monuments of exceptional historical and cultural value requires more than technical excellence. It demands precision, responsibility and a deep respect for the heritage being preserved. At ZILLION, we are proud to contribute once again to the preservation of one of Greece's most iconic landmarks, combining engineering expertise with a commitment to protecting history for future generations.
For the third consecutive year, ZILLION has been recognized by EUPD Research with the Top Brand PV EPC Greece – High Performance Specialist 2026 award, reaffirming its position among Greece's leading EPC companies in the photovoltaic sector. Presented during Intersolar Europe 2026 in Munich, the world's leading exhibition for the solar industry, this prestigious distinction recognizes companies that consistently demonstrate technical excellence, outstanding project delivery, reliability, and high performance in the renewable energy market.
ZILLION participated in the 3rd Global C&I Visionaries Summit hosted by Huawei Digital Power in Dongguan, China, alongside industry leaders, innovators, and energy professionals from across Europe and around the world. Representing Zillion at the summit was our valued zillioner, Georgios Spanos, who had the opportunity to explore Huawei’s latest technologies, advanced energy storage systems, and smart energy solutions designed to accelerate the global energy transition. Beyond the technological innovation showcased throughout the event, what truly distinguished the summit was the spirit of collaboration, openness, and meaningful knowledge exchange. The high level of organization, hospitality, and strategic vision behind the event created an inspiring environment focused on shaping a smarter and more sustainable energy future. We would like to sincerely thank Huawei Greece for the opportunity to be part of this important international gathering. Special thanks also to Konstantinos Michail and Yiannis Dedopoulos for their excellent coordination and support throughout the evenAt Zillion, we strongly believe that the future of energy is built through innovation, strategic partnerships, and a shared commitment to sustainability. Events like the Global C&I Visionaries Summit reinforce our dedication to delivering high-quality renewable energy solutions and contributing actively to the transition toward a cleaner and smarter energy landscape.
The construction of a 500 kWp photovoltaic park for the Municipal Water and Sewerage Company of Kozani (DEYA of Kozani) has been successfully completed in Karyditsa, municipal department of the city of Kozani. Operating under the Virtual Net Metering scheme, the project enables the full energy production to offset the electricity consumption of the company’s facilities, contributing to a substantial reduction in energy costs. The location presented significant challenges. Extensive land preparation was required, including large-scale ground levelling, vegetation clearing, and removal of debris and old concrete rubble before installation could begin. With careful planning and execution, the site was transformed into a fully operational solar installation, supporting more sustainable municipal infrastructure and the clean energy transition.
Yesterday, on World Cancer Day, ZILLION was honored to sponsor the scientific event “Cycle of Care - Κύκλος της φροντίδας”, organized by the Hellenic Cancer Research Society - Ελληνική Εταιρεία Ερεύνης του Καρκίνου (E.E.E.K.) at Theagenio Hospital. Supporting cancer awareness, research, and patient care is more than a commitment, it is a responsibility we proudly embrace. We believe that collaboration between science, healthcare, and society is essential to creating a future with more hope and better outcomes for all. We would also like to express our sincere congratulations and deep admiration to Dr. Konstantina Boniou, Radiation Oncologist and President of the Society, for her outstanding work and dedication to this important mission. ZILLION remains committed to initiatives that create meaningful social impact.
Last Sunday, our team welcomed the new year by honoring tradition with the cutting of the Vasilopita, followed by a lovely team brunch. The solar carport project at the Central Pier of Volos Port is now fully completed and operational. The installation includes 8 solar carports, covering 176 parking spaces and delivering a total 500 kW photovoltaic capacity, operating under a net metering system for Volos Port Authority S.A. What was once a conventional parking area has been transformed into an active energy asset-producing clean power while serving everyday mobility needs. his project stands as a tangible example of how infrastructure can evolve to support sustainability, functionality, and long-term value. Major equipment suppliers Alumil Solar, Krannich Solar Greece and Fronius Solar & Energy
ZILLION successfully completed the installation and grid connection of a 182.03 kWp photovoltaic station at the Tagarades Wastewater Treatment Plant, a project implemented for the Regional Solid Waste Management Agencies of Central Macedonia. The new PV installation significantly contributes to reducing the facility’s energy costs, as all electricity generated is used exclusively to cover the plant’s internal loads. The system operates under a zero feed-in scheme, where any surplus energy is automatically curtailed by the PV station’s automation system, ensuring that no energy is injected into the distribution grid. With this project, ZILLION once again reaffirms its commitment to delivering efficient and reliable clean energy solutions.
On August 28th, 2025, ZILLION successfully completed the grid integration of 2 photovoltaic PV systems with a capacity of 999.50 kWp each, utilizing the virtual net metering mechanism for DEYA of Kalamata. With the 2 systems now operational, a significant reduction in energy costs is expected, allowing the utility to allocate more resources to projects that benefit the community. The successful delivery of this project is yet another testament to ZILLION’s reliability, expertise, and effectiveness in public sector projects, while strengthening its portfolio in the field of clean energy. Our vision: To turn every project into a catalyst for change, where energy is not just infrastructure but an investment in the future of the communities we serve.
On Tuesday 26.08.2025 we signed the contract for the construction of a 500kWp photovoltaic system at Kariditsa, Municipality of Kozani. The project will operate under the Virtual Net Metering scheme, significantly reducing the energy costs of DEYA Kozani. Special credit goes to our Tenders Department team, who once again proved their efficiency by securing this project for our company through a competitive process. We are proud of having a strong team, full of energy and experience, that will continue to claim future public projects with the same passion and determination. We remain committed and enthusiastic about contributing to the energy transition and the growth of the green economy.
