ZILLION was honored with the Top Brand© PV EPC Greece 2024 award at this year's Intersolar in Munich. This is a prestigious award, established by EUPD Research to highlight the pioneers of the renewable energy industry.
ZILLION was the only EPC brand operating in the Greek market that met the necessary criteria to distinguish itself among other companies. “This award recognizes our dedication to innovation and quality, differentiating ZILLION in today's competitive environment, while motivating us to continue developing advanced services that meet our customers' needs,” notes ZILLION founder Vasilios Ziogos, who received the award from EUPD CEO Markus A.W. Hoehner.
As a token of gratitude and to share the sense of triumph and action that accompanies this award, Mr. Ziogos donated to Mr. Hoehner a statuette, a copy of the Victory of Samothrace.
For another year, the ZILLION team visited INTERSOLAR EUROPE 2024, which took place from June 19 to 21 in Munich. The knowledge gained about the latest trends and innovations in solar energy is valuable, while meetings were held with professionals and companies, strengthening old and exploring new collaborations. We learned about current market dynamics and future trends to improve our services, saw new technologies that will help us upgrade our products, and explored ways to reduce our carbon footprint and support green energy.
We look forward to applying what we have learned and continuing to innovate in solar energy!
The contract for the implementation of the project "Supply, installation and operation of a 1,000 KW photovoltaic power station using virtual energy offsetting", with a budget of 629,000 euros (plus VAT), was signed yesterday at Tempi City Hall.
The contract was signed by the mayor of Tempi and president of DEYA Tempi, George Manolis, the representative of the municipality of Tempi, George Nikolaou, and the representative of the contractor company “Zillion Monoprosopi IKE” Vasilios Ziogos. A discussion followed on the construction schedules for the project, at the mayor's office, with the participation of the head of the Agricultural Technical Service Tsitsiouva and the Agricultural Engineer Hadoulou.
The project is funded by the “Antonis Tritsis” program, from the “Environment” priority axis: “Interventions and actions to improve energy management and utilization of Renewable Energy Sources in water and wastewater management infrastructures”.
“Another important project of DEYA Tempi is being implemented. This is the project of a photovoltaic station, which we designed, claimed and has now been contracted, paving the way for its construction. This is a project with multiple benefits, both financially and environmentally, as its completion will significantly reduce the energy costs that DEYAT currently spends, largely covering the energy-intensive water supply facilities. I would like to once again warmly thank the Technical Services of the Municipality and DEYA, because despite the lack of staff, with cooperation between them, they are implementing the goals that we set as a municipal authority”, said the Mayor Mr. Manolis.
The object of the project is the supply, installation and operation of a 1000 KW photovoltaic power station, using virtual energy offsetting. The PV will be installed on municipal land at the "Meria" location of the Pyrgetos cadastral district.
Today, Wednesday, February 28, 2024, in the presence of the Mayor of Kalamata Thanasis Vassilopoulos, a contract was signed between DEYAK and the contractor company ZILLION SINGLE-PERSON IKE, for the implementation of the project "Supply, installation and operation of two photovoltaic power plants with a capacity of 999.50 KWp -->
The project is funded by the "Environment" priority axis: "Interventions and actions to improve energy management and utilization of Renewable Energy Sources in water and wastewater management infrastructures" within the framework of the "Antonis Tritsis" Local Government Development and Solidarity Program.
MAYOR'S STATEMENT
In a statement, Thanasis Vassilopoulos said: "Another important project of DEYA Kalamata is on the path to implementation. This is the project of the two large Photovoltaic Stations, which we designed, claimed and has now been contracted, paving the way for its construction. This is a project with multiple benefits, both financially and environmentally, as its completion will significantly reduce the energy costs that DEYA currently spends, covering both the Biological Treatment and other energy-intensive water supply facilities of our Municipality. It shows the direction of the Municipal Authority, as it is in line with our planning and those that serve the goals of our city's Climate Agreement."
WHAT IS THE PROJECT ABOUT?
The project involves the supply, installation and operation of two photovoltaic power stations with a capacity of 999.50 KWp. -->
The installation of the PV Station will take place at the "Xerolagada" and "Moutelaki" locations outside the Asprochomatos Urban Area Plan of the Municipality of Kalamata and the aim is to connect the PV Station to the MV electricity network of the Hellenic Electricity Distribution Company (DEDDHEE) with the aim of saving on electricity consumption costs through the Virtual Net-Metering mechanism.
One PV station will virtually offset the installation of the WWTP (Biological Treatment Plant) and the second will similarly offset selected energy-intensive water supply facilities located in different parts of the enlarged Municipality of Kalamata.
The stations are to be located on level, independent, non-adjacent plots of land measuring approximately 17 and 19 acres, located OUTSIDE THE ASPROCHOMATOS PROJECT, MUNICIPALITY OF KALAMATA, PRECINCT OF MESSINIA.
The supply includes all materials and work necessary to put the supplied PV Stations into operation. In addition, it includes all those accompanying works and equipment required to ensure the long-term smooth operation of the facilities that will not jeopardize the calculated revenues from them. The supply includes all parts described in the technical specifications and those not described if they are necessary for the Contractor to connect the PV station to the HEDNO network.
ZILLION has upgraded its construction license and now holds a 1st class M.E.E.P. degree in Construction, Plumbing, Electromechanical and Industrial - Energy projects (M.E.E.P. number: 32294 ZILLION SINGLE-PERSON IKE).
