GRID-CONNECTED
Over the past years, ZILLION has gained significant experience in the procurement and installation of photovoltaic systems through more than 200 interconnected projects. Our installations cover a wide range, from residential rooftops to industrial roofs and agricultural plots, both on fixed bases and 1-axis or 2-axis trackers.
Our knowledge of the renewable energy regulatory framework enables us to provide comprehensive services, ranging from identifying suitable agricultural land and preparing licensing files to constructing and finalizing the connection of the photovoltaic station to the public grid.
NET METERING
ZILLION closely monitors the developments in energy legislation since the end of 2014 and has already completed the procurement and installation of over 30 photovoltaic systems operating under the net metering scheme in private and public buildings. This results in significant electricity cost savings.
Furthermore, with the use of virtual net metering legislation, it is now possible to install a photovoltaic system whose production offsets the consumption of one or more meters located at different sites. Virtual net metering applies to public law legal entities, public interest legal entities, and registered farmers and rural enterprises.
ZILLION has already completed the procurement and installation of photovoltaic systems operating under the virtual net metering scheme, applied to agricultural pumps, roofs of public buildings, and religious institutions.
ENERGY STORAGE SYSTEMS
ZILLION is closely monitoring global developments and anticipates the integration of energy storage systems in existing and new photovoltaic installations.
In this direction, ZILLION has already completed the procurement and installation of state-of-the-art Li-ion energy storage systems in collaboration with the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. These installations have been selected to cover a wide range of applications, including residential, industrial, and commercial settings.
HYBRID SYSTEMS
OFF-GRID systems utilize either photovoltaic panels, small wind turbines, or a combination of both renewable energy sources. In conjunction with energy storage systems, they supply electrical energy to loads. OFF-GRID systems are applied in cases where connection to the public power grid is either impossible or economically unviable. Some indicative applications include:
- Permanent and vacation homes
- Agricultural and livestock facilities
- Recreational boats, sailboats, and caravans
- Outdoor lighting for roads, parks, etc.
- Telecommunication and alarm systems
- Rural applications such as water pumping
